After Paying an admission fee, I entered the Rama's Synagogue in Krakow. I was the first one in. I prayed in the front with my Talit over my head, knowing that every tourist was taking my picture. I spent much time studying what the Rama wrote when I was doing Smicha (rabbinical ordination). Praying in his Synagogue was a small tribute.

Today is Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Memorial Day)

A couple years ago I visited Poland for a few days. It is hard to describe in words what I felt when going to Aushwitz. It is an emotion no words can describe. I did not take any photos in the camps. There were enough people doing this. They walked around with their cameras smiling for photos, especially some of the high school kids on field trips. It seemed like they were having a pleasant day. It is a sobering place and left its mark on me. I believe it is important for everyone to visit once in their life.
