Today is Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Memorial Day)
A couple years ago I visited Poland for a few days. It is hard to describe in words what I felt when going to Aushwitz. It is an emotion no words can describe. I did not take any photos in the camps. There were enough people doing this. They walked around with their cameras smiling for photos, especially some of the high school kids on field trips. It seemed like they were having a pleasant day. It is a sobering place and left its mark on me. I believe it is important for everyone to visit once in their life.

I found this really amazing recording of Jewish survivors of Bergen-Belsen singing Hatikva… almost made me cry. It is a good thing to listen to… let’s focus on the triumph of the human spirit in the face of evil. http://youtu.be/syUSmEbGLs4
